Applications

Freeze protection of fire hydrants, safety showers, eye showers, water tanks or any water system. Prevents pipes from bursting. Install at dead legs or low points of water systems.

Operating principle

A wax-filled thermostat senses the water temperature at the valve inlet and controls the opening and closing of the valve. The valve opens fully when the water temperature drops to 35 °F (2 °C) and closes again when the water temperature rises to 45 °F (7 °C).

Design features

  • All stainless steel valve
  • Fail-open
  • Modulating water discharge
  • Self-draining and freeze-proof
  • Long service life
  • Compact and light weight; easy installation
  • Insensitive to pressure variation
